August... Remember Liddell Hall this month

August 2015 Newsletter     Meeting Thursday 20th.August

We had a little light hearted taste of Christmas last month with some ideas for gift bags, boxes and containers. Of course they can all be adapted for other occasions and are quick and easy to make.

August meeting

This will be in the Liddell Hall (where the playgroup usually meets) as the main hall is being refurbished in August. As space will be restricted there will be no machines, irons, library books or visitors. It will be a good opportunity to get out your hand sewing and socialise!

New Year

September is the beginning of our new year and we shall be having our AGM – an informal affair, but we hope to be able to give you some idea of any projects/challenges we are thinking of for the coming year. If you have any suggestions please let one of the committee know.

Subscriptions

These are due in September and will be £18, the same as this year. We think this is very good value and hope you agree and will be joining us for another year. Once you have paid your subscription you can come to as many or as few meetings as you wish during the year. We do understand that sometimes people’s circumstances change and they feel unable to renew their subscription. We are always sorry to lose members but we would appreciate it if you let us know if you are not renewing as we do have a waiting list.

If you know of any local events please tell us so we can add them to the newsletter.
