Meeting Thursday 16th. February
Trader – Running Chicken The trader Running Chicken will be at our meeting this month, so if there is anything you need/want you will have an opportunity to be tempted – bring your purse!
Thursday 18th. May is show day – 3 meetings to go! A reminder - Time to sort out your quilts and other items for the show, fill in the registration form and sent/bring it back to Chris. A registration form will be attached to your email. You can fill it in online or print it out and fill it in. · Entries must have been made since the last show (that is in the last 2 years): · Please note the maximum size we can accommodate on the stands. · Take time to tell us why, when and how you made your quilt, you know what you like to know about other people’s quilts so let them know the same about yours. · We are planning a Christmas display so if you made anything new please enter it · Christmas bunting - we would like to display, let us know how many pieces of bunting on your tape.
We will talk through the registration form again at our meeting and there will be help at hand if you need it, bring the details of the items you would like to show. This is your show and we hope everyone will find something to show.
The 10 year challenge – have you made your block yet? Joan and Jacky have the ‘10’ blocks and will arrange their display, so no need to put yours on your registration form, make sure Joan or Jacky have it. If you haven’t made yours yet there is plenty of time. The challenge is to make a 10” quilted block representing 10 – of anything.
Thank you to the members who took Linus quilts to layer and quilt. They are all for a good cause and many hands make light work. Please let us have the finished quilts back by April, at the latest.
Thank you also to members who made blocks for the raffle quilts, it is going to look amazing! Be sure to return your blocks this month, even if you haven’t finished it.
