  Meeting Thursday 17th. March.


We had a full hall last month. Hopefully it will be the same this month. We are on the run up to the Show now and there is a lot to do, so we shall need everyone's help.

A stewards' rota will be put up at the meeting for you to sign up to – we shall need 3 stewards every hour, so please give an hour of your time.

We shall need help setting up on Thursday 7th. April so if you are available at 8a.m. please see Pris or Barbara.

Valerie will be asking for help serving and preparing refreshments at the show. Cakes are always appreciated and we can’t have too many!

Don't forget to bring your finished 'cat' items for the tombola. We have some wonderful prizes, all shapes and sizes. Thanks you for your hard work. Diana will need help during the day running the tombola.

Jane will be selling tickets for the raffle at the entrance. She will also need help during the day.

If you have any small items, such as boxes, petal bags, tidy bags etc. that you would like to show we have a little space left for them, but sorry no more quilts. See Jenny or Sally with details at the meeting so that they can prepare descriptions.

If you are not sure of how to put a sleeve on your quilt bring it along to the meeting and we will help you.
If there is no sleeve we will not be able to hang your quilt.

You are responsible for insuring your items, if you are concerned you should consult your home contents insurer.



We shall need your quilts and other show items delivered to Pris' house (Hazel House opposite the Hall) on Tuesday 5th. April between 10 am – 4.30pm so that they can be sorted on Wednesday ready for hanging on Thursday morning.
We have a tight schedule so please make sure your items are clearly labelled and rolled or folded with the label showing.

When you deliver your items you will be given a ticket for each item as a receipt and you will need this to collect your item after the show.
Items must be collected from the hall on Thursday 7th. April between 4.45p.m. and 6.30p.m.- unless you make a special arrangement. If you cannot collect it yourself please arrange for someone else to collect – don't forget to give them the receipts!
New members – the advertising for the show is bringing in enquiries about joining our group and we anticipate this increasing at the show. We have decided that prospective members may visit for one meeting, by prior arrangement, paying a small fee. If they then wish to join they will fill in a form with their details and their names will go on a waiting list. We want to maintain the friendly nature of our group, which will only happen if we maintain our present size. We propose setting up this system immediately and reviewing it in September.
